Integrations and developer tools

Give useful work somewhere to go next.

Connect compatible AI tools through MCP, work with the API, and send configured webhook events to systems you already use.

01

Connect your preferred AI

Use compatible tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor to read, create, and update resources within the access you grant.

02

Work with structured data

Use the API for supported document and database operations. Read change feeds when an external process needs to find new work.

03

Hand off through webhooks

Send configured events to a webhook receiver, including a separately configured Zapier or n8n workflow. Inspect delivery status when something needs attention.

Make it your own

A prompt to get you started.

Connect your AI to Fermium, replace the bracketed details, and bring the source material.

Help me configure a webhook for completed responses in [database] to [authorized receiver]. Include only [selected fields], explain how file references will be accessed, and show me how to inspect delivery results.

What to know

Outbound webhooks are on Business and Enterprise, and need a receiver you set up. They send events and file references, not the files themselves. There is no Zapier marketplace app; connect Zapier or n8n through a webhook.

Questions about integrations and developer tools

When should I use MCP, the API, or a webhook?

Use MCP when a compatible AI tool needs to read, create, or update permitted resources during a task. Use the API for operations in your own code. Use an outbound webhook when another system needs a configured event, such as a completed form response, to start its next step.

Can I connect Zapier or n8n?

Yes, through a webhook receiver that you configure in the other service. Choose the event and answer fields to send, then test the connection and inspect delivery status. Outbound webhooks require Business or Enterprise. This connection uses your own workflow; it is not a prebuilt Zapier marketplace app.

Do webhook events include uploaded files?

Events can carry selected fields and references to files, rather than the file bytes themselves. Your receiver needs an authorized way to retrieve any referenced files it uses. Keep the payload limited to what the next step needs, and check delivery records when an external handoff fails.
