Turn a new introduction into a next step.
Capture event and website leads in Fermium, then send selected submission fields to a Zapier webhook for follow-up.
A complete worked example
A conference introduction reaches the follow-up team.
A small sales team collects event leads and has an authorized Zapier Catch Hook ready to receive selected fields.
Fictional project and sample data. This preview does not submit, publish, or change access.
Sales team and authorized receiver · illustrative result
Introduction → follow-up workflow
Synthetic example for the configured handoff.
- 1 · Collected
- Jamie · jamie@example.com · Acorn · Website project
- 2 · Delivered
- Receiver accepted the selected fields
- 3 · Next check
- Confirm the follow-up action in Zapier's run history
What crosses the boundary
The selected contact fields and submission identifier are sent to the authorized receiver. A successful HTTP delivery establishes receipt, not that a downstream email or CRM task succeeded.
What the recipient can access
Only the selected fields required by the configured follow-up.
Kept out of this handoff
Unselected notes and unrelated leads.
How it runs
- Capture the introductionPublish a form that works well on a phone and asks only for information your follow-up team needs.
- Choose what leaves FermiumConnect a Zapier Catch Hook and explicitly select the lead fields to include in each event.
- Check the handoffSend synthetic test data, inspect delivery status, and let your Zap handle the next action in your other tools.
- You getA focused lead form, a searchable lead table, and a visible delivery history for the automation that follows each submission.
A prompt to start with
Copy this into your AI tool after connecting it to Fermium. Replace the bracketed details and let it ask for the context it needs.
Build a mobile-friendly conference lead form with name, email, company, interest, and notes. Store responses in a Sales database with our existing access restrictions. Ask me for my Zapier Catch Hook URL and which fields may be sent. Create a scoped connection for completed submissions, test it with synthetic data, and show delivery status. Add a chart of leads by interest. Do not send real customer data in the test.
What this workflow needs
Requires outbound webhooks on your Fermium plan and a Zapier account with webhook access. This uses a Catch Hook; it is not a native Zapier catalog app.
Does a successful webhook mean the follow-up email was sent?
It means the receiver accepted the event. Check Zapier's run history to confirm downstream actions such as email or CRM updates completed.
